Polish My Life - Big City Bright Lights

Hey dolls! Crazy busy is how I explain the last month of my life, so please excuse my absence here. For sure I've been painting my nails and scoping out new polishes coming out.

With that said today's post is something I've been meaning to share a couple weeks back. Big City Bright Lights is described as a bright and bold collection, with a NY theme. That it is, a perfect
description. Check out each color after the jump!

SoHo Shoppes is a purple jelly. It's opaque in 3 coats and not too difficult to work with. This is a perfect layering polish with glitter.

Breakfast On Fifth is a Tiffany blue creme. Perfect formula, fabulous!

Good Morningside is a medium yellow creme. It's a great one for a yellow polish, shown here 2 coats plus top coat.

TriBeCa Night is a dark purple blue crelly. This was a surprise as I'm not a big fan of darker colors. But the formula and shine won me over. 2 coats show plus top coat.

Big Apple Sunset is a redish orange creme. Again, not a red lover but the consistency of shine, formula perfection and ease makes this a winner for me. 2 coats plus top coat shown here.

Times Square Lights is a glitter topper.  In a clear base, it has yellow, green, blue, white, silver and black glitters in shapes of stars, clouds, squares and hexagonal. The glitter spreads easily in one coat shown here.

Lastly I did some nail art using Big Apple and nail vinyls in thunderbolt. I think this and TriBeCa Nights were my favorite from the collection. These are still available for $9 each here

Enchanted Polish Spam

Hey everyone! Today I have some random Enchanted Polish to share with you. Check out a description after the jump!

March 2014 is a green linear holo. Holy hologoodness!! Such a stunning and extreme holo effect, this polish was a little sheer on its first coat but great with just 2. It's definitely going down as a favorite in my collection.

April 2014 is a light periwinkle holo. Almost a one coater! I used 2 for the photos below. I wore the second combo over the weekend for my birthday!!

Lastly for my birthday I did a chevron manicure using  Congratulations and February 2014.

I have become an Enchanted Polish loyal fan!!

Enchanted Polish - Congratulations

If you can't tell I'm on an Enchanted Polish kick lately. As I said in yesterday's post, I'm falling deep in love with this brand!

Today I'm wearing Congratulations. This polish is so difficult to describe. It's a brown scattered holo with a duochrome effect as well that shifts to bronze, pink, orange and green. Simply stunning. Here I used only 2 coats. I'm wearing this for my birthday today and think I'll just add one more coat.

Enchanted Polish Autumn

So today I want to talk about the most beautiful polish I've seen in a long time, Autumn by Enchanted Polish. It's the most coveted indie brand and I can definitely see why. I loved everything about this polish, holo + duochrome = gorgeous! Right? What's not to love?

The color shifts are beautiful. Pictures do them no justice. It turns from gold to bronze and yellow, then there's a scattered holo effect that makes it so unique. Need I say I say anything else?

I wish this polish was as easy to purchase than for me to talk about. I basically stalked a whole bunch of different Enchanted Polish on eBay and lucked up on this one of two (I'll be talking about tomorrow). I recently have grown a love for this brand.

I recommend following Enchanted a Polish on Facebook to get notices on her monthly polish. New polishes are $16 per bottle and worth every cent of it! Time is of essence when  these are in stock, with a preorder of only an hour time frame. The moment preorder is over they sell for double the amount on eBay. Crazy!

Zoya Spring 2014

Hi everyone. Today I have a quick post.

Zoya came out with their spring collection and I wasn't too impressed. One caught my eye so I'll be sharing that today.

Cole is an orange creme, opaque in 2 coats. Not too streaky, it reminds me of a creamsicle pop. Honestly I bought this color because of its name, Cole is my nickname to some of my family.

You can still purchase this on Zoya's website and they retail for $9 each. I will probably get the rest of the collection in Zoya's annual earth day sale coming later this month.

Pear Nova

Hi everyone! Over the past few weeks I have been through such a whirlwind, perhaps the most change I've experienced in my adult life. A few months ago me and my family decided to move back up north to be closer to my mother due to the kids and other health related issues. Well at the time I didn't know I'd be transitioning into a new role at work all at the same time. Orchestrating a move 1,000+ miles with 2 kids was quite the challenge for us. In any event we did it! So that will explain my absence here, obviously nails were the least on my mind.

Today's post is on a brand a few ladies "made" me purchase through their lovely swatches from Instagram. Pear Nova is a Chicago based, runway inspired, 3 free nail lacquer. The line consists of creme polishes that all apply very opaque, nearly in one coat. All these polishes were consistent in formula, all 2 coats with no top coat and self leveling. The polish was a little thick but nothing difficult to work with. I also liked the brush on these which allowed perfect application.  These are definitely some of my favorite creme polishes I've ever tried.

Blue Magic is a periwinkle blue creme, probably my favorite of the bunch.

Rolling Stoned is a dark gray creme.

Heavy Meadow is a golden yellow creme. It was almost jelly like but not quite. Great formula for a yellow polish!

Uptown Grit is a butterscotch creme.

Lastly Pink Is The Flavor is a dusty pink creme, another favorite of mine. The accent finger is my OPI Muppets World Tour.

You can find Pear Nova here and they retail for $11.50 each.
